Create DNS Record

To create a DNS record on the Cloudflare dashboard, follow these steps:

  1. Select an account and domain from the Cloudflare dashboard.

  2. Go to the DNS

  3. Add a new record by clicking the Add button.

  4. Select a record type.

  5. Fill in the essential fields, which differ by the record. The following fields are particularly relevant (for some records):

Proxy Status: Determine whether hostname traffic is proxied over Cloudflare for A, AAAA, and CNAME records.

TTL: This field, which stands for Time to Live, determines how long each record is valid and, as a result, how long it takes for record modifications to reach your end users.

6. Save the file.
